We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction division on multi-family building projects.
This candidate's primary responsibility will be to assist the Project Manager in administering all construction-related activity of Sterling Construction with emphasis on quality and production.
Other Job duties include, but not limited to:
· Perform accurate and detailed takeoffs from civil, architectural, and landscape drawings.
· Assist in identifying potential subcontractors/suppliers for projects.
· Assist with preparation of monthly billings.
· Assist in preparation and tracking of RFI’s, ASI’s, schedule, submittals, etc.
· Review of shop drawings and submittals.
· Assist in conducting subcontractor and owner meetings.
· Track on-site inventory.
· Prepare project manuals, obtain warranty letters fromsubcontractors/suppliers and assemble for approval at time of project completion.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and 1 to 3 years of construction experience.
Other desired skills/traits needed include:
· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent mathematical skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Windows environment including a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera P3 electronic scheduling software.
· Willingness to work the necessary hours to get the job done
