Examples of projects which you would be involved include providing tech support for 49 boilers within 20 various facilities, and being involved in a project upgrade and system design for fuel storage tanks/fuel pumps and complaince with NFPA/EPA codes. Also you will be working with equipment such as elevators/escalators, heavy machinery equipment (for rail car maintenance) fire protection systems and HVAC systems. Travel is local within the philadelphia/suburban vicinity.

Project Engineer-Mechanical
Specific Responsibilities:
·Consult with Senior level engineers/supervisors in project definition.
·Responsible for Mechanical Engineering design and analysis for specific projects.
·Responsibilities include conceptual, preliminary, final design and costing as directed by senior level engineer supervisors/ managers.
·Generate and coordinate design plans relative to any given project.
·Generate written memoranda, technical reports, specifications, audits, etc. in a professional, effective manner.
·Formulate suitable design parameters, characteristics and requirements
·Assist in preparation of budgets for proposed projects and work to be accomplished through third party.
·Initiate, upgrade and implement design standards in assigned specialty area
·Develop competency in field-related investigations
·Exercise proper judgment in application of moderately complex engineering and QA principles.
·Generate equipment specifications for procurement purposes to ensure contractor interpretation.
·Adapt to team efforts where indicated.
·Interface with Government Agencies and other transit authorities when appropriate.
Qualifications/Experience:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
Four (4) years satisfactory, progressive relevant work performance within mechanical engineering.
Polished written, oral and interpersonal skills required
