We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Forensics Department in York, PA. The Project Engineer must have general knowledge of architectural/engineering and construction procedures.
A Project Engineer must demonstrate the ability to learn about wall cladding systems, curtain wall, window, and door systems including all materials associated with and used within these systems. The Project Engineer must quickly demonstrate working knowledge of test methods and standards associated with the testing of these systems. The Project Engineer must be capable of maintaining a good rapport with clients and subcontractors while working under pressure situations.The Project Engineer would Ideally be familiar with code bodies such as BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI, and standards such as ASCE 7-93 "Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures." The Project Engineer must have good planning, and organizational skills. He/she must have good oral and written communication skills.He/she must be willing to travel frequently, based on the needs of the business. Architectural Testing has seven labs nationwide.
