We are looking for an Environmental Planning Leader to support the development and growth of Kleinfelder's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EP&P) Practice in the Great Plains Region. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Kleinfelder?s fastest growing services. As the successful candidate, you will lead EP&P efforts in the Great Plains Region, supporting offices in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, including: marketing, project management, training, and strategic initiatives and planning (i.e. identifying key environmental firms for teaming and/or other formal relationships, creating and executing a Regional EP&P Action Plan, recruiting, and cross-training employees). This position will support the overall marketing of the firm?s services using EP&P as an entre to new infrastructure programs and projects. In addition, the EP&P leader will team and coordinate with other Regional Environmental Managers, Business Development and EP&P Leaders. As a practice leader, you will provide technical expertise and senior review on company-wide EP&P projects and action items.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience in project permitting, wildlife ecology, and impact assessment. Environmental Planning, permitting, wetland, NEPA and CEQA experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in the use of the Microsoft suite required.
The candidate will have a record of successful client relationships, and experience working with developers, government entities, and other development-related organizations. Experience in permitting of projects with regulatory agencies required. An understanding of the business, environmental, and political communities is preferred.
