Project Architect

Incumbent shall prepare surveys that document, evaluate, and recommend solutions for site follow-on projects by managing a staff of project engineers and TCN inspectors, including a civil or structural engineer, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer. Also included shall be assistance in developing an independent government estimate as requested by the Senior Facility Manager.
For small scale projects, utilize the project management team to prepare architectural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) plans and specifications in accordance with USG and local standards, if applicable. Perform all bid process requirements as directed by the Senior Facility Manager. Provide contract administration services during construction to ensure compliance with the construction documents. Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet Senior Facility Manager goals and objectives.
For large scale projects, assist in the development of the SOW and production of the construction documents. Perform all survey work and provide all required information to the design team, as requested. Once the construction documents have been completed, perform all bid process requirements as directed by the Senior Facility Manager. Provide contract administration services during construction to ensure compliance with the construction documents. Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet Senior Facility Manager goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
· A minimum of 7 years experience;
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Bachelor degree in Architecture from an accredited or internationally recognized college or university. Equivalent field or military experience is an acceptable alternative to a BS degree;
· Experience in construction administration and architectural project management;
· Experience in government projects is a plus;
· Knowledge of AutoCAD 2000 or later;
· Ability to develop engineering blue prints, schematic diagrams, building plans, and specifications;
· Experience with Microsoft Standard Office software;
· Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance;
· Licensed/Registered Architect considered a plus;
· Position is located in Baghdad, Iraq.
Project Civil/ Structural Engineer Position Description

Assist the Project Architect in ensuring completion of the project per schedule within budget, in accordance with quality standards. Monitor, verify, and document the work being performed. Provide technical assistance to the USG and construction teams as needed. Review material acquisitions, RFIs, submittals, and ensure contract performance measures are met per the position discipline. Evaluate the project construction to ensure compliance with USG standards, including blast resistant and security measures, as needed and specified by the USG.
