Our client, a well known non-profit organization in Colorado Springs, is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst for an exciting full time opportunity. The Senior Programmer Analyst exists to design and build software applications for business and technical requirements in accordance with standard development practices, and recommends, develops, and maintains interfaces between various software applications within the ministry. This position requires minimal, if any, supervision and refers only specific, unusual problems to supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage software development for projects based software development life cycle (SDLC), design, build and document software solutions to meet specific requirements, with an eye toward usability, maintainability, reuse and performance, adhere to standard software development methodology, perform unit testing of developed applications to ensure consistent quality, build packages and oversee handoff of newly developed applications to other teams within the IT department according to the SDLC, participate in training programs to maintain and enhance development and leadership skills. The Programmer Analyst will ensure that software development and database policies and standards are kept current, collaborate with the Database Developers, Database Administrators and Data Architect on the development/enhancement of data architectures, provide Level-3 support for applications as required, guide and mentor programmer analysts ensuring that all standards and practices are followed. The Programmer Analyst will also create and utilize defined repeatable processes and methodologies, track process measures in order to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements. Emphasizing customer satisfaction, the Programmer Analyst will work closely with the Application Owner, Project Manager, and the customer to recommend business solutions and enhancements, manage and approve detailed technical requirements, deliverables, schedules, and action plans; allocate development resources to accomplish objectives, promote cooperation, trust and teamwork on all projects and assignments. Additionally, he or she will maintain and demonstrate an appropriate balance of knowledge in all areas necessary to execute current assignments, track and report time and progress against project plan milestones, adhere to procedures for Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Change Management and Configuration Management.

Qualifications :
In addition to advanced .Net C# experience, the following are required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience/certification, five to seven years experience as a programmer/analyst or business systems analyst, experienced in leading software development projects, solid analysis and design skills, three or more years experience with C# .Net or Java, experienced in ColdFusion, experience in web content management and delivery systems, knowledge of SOA practices and principles, and a familiarity with web services. The ideal candidate will also be fluent in MS Office products, have a working knowledge of SQL and MS SQLServer 2000 or 2005, a working knowledge of VISIO is a plus and a working knowledge of XML. Additionally, an in depth knowledge of business systems platforms and software languages, an in depth knowledge of techniques utilized to discover, analyze and evaluate customer’s data, process, and business rules is required.
