As our Program Manager, Six Sigma, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, administration and overall health and effectiveness of the Six Sigma program at Vestas Americas. 

 

Specific tasks for this position will include but are not limited to:

 

1.      Develop, deploy and drive Six Sigma programs and initiatives throughout the organization.

2.      Oversee and manage corporate-wide Six Sigma programs.

3.      Train, coach, mentor, assist, and/or lead employees in the implementation of six sigma tools and in completion of their Six Sigma projects. 

4.      Interact with other Vestas Business Units to improve the overall Six Sigma program and share best known practices.

5.      Perform and/or assist in the cost analysis of improvement programs.

6.      Assist departments in developing tools to manage their key performance indicators.

7.      Assist senior leaders and champions in selecting projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies.

8.      Conduct regular reviews of the Six Sigma program to incorporate new lessons-learned and address new changes.

9.      Partner with the Business Academy to deploy Six Sigma methodologies throughout the organization.

10.  Develop, create, enhance or improve training materials for existing and new programs.  Ensure consistency of core training materials.

11.  Develop training material that could be use with our suppliers and subcontractors.  Partner with Supplier Management Team to improve the overall quality of our suppliers.

12.  Other duties as assigned or required.

 

Interested candidates must meet the minimum qualifications:

 

§         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering required.

§         MS Engineering Management or MBA preferred

§         Six Sigma Black Belt required, Master Black Belt preferred.

§         Requires 3+ years Six Sigma experience conducting and mentoring projects.

§         Must have strong process improvement and proven leadership experience.

§         Experience in using and training ISO, problem solving, risk management, and other structured six sigma tools.

§         Good track record in mentoring, coaching and training other employees in the use of analytical tools.

§         Demonstrated ability in building excellent business relationships.

§         Strong communication skills to provide verbal and written reports at various levels in the organization.

§         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to represent the company with customers and suppliers.

§         Excellent analytical skills and ability to think systemically.

§         Ability to travel as needed.
