Top Cancer Center seeks Program Coordinator in New York City***
Responsibilities:
Manage the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Education and Training Programs to ensure appropriate house staff support. In conjunction with the Program Directors, organize and maintain records of all academic activities and schedules for the fellows, rotating residents, medical students and observerships. Manage planning and logistics for department Grand Rounds, and serve as a liaison to the GME office.
Assist the Chairman, Program Directors and Administrator with special projects necessary to fulfill programmatic needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors required, with at least 2 years of experience (preferably teaching) in a hospital setting. Previous experience in graduate medical education; knowledge of processes involved in recruiting and credentialing trainees; knowledge of effective educational programming preferred. Microsoft Office applications at a senior skill level. Familiarity with ACGME/ECFMG rules and regulations and with credentialing/licensure requirements for international medical graduates is required. Ability to actively participate in selection and subsequent management of highly sensitive performance issues for clinicians assigned to MSKCC.
