Advent Search Group specializes in placing talented medical communications professionals across the tri-state area. 

We are currently seeking candidates for several Associate-level Medical/Scientific Directors/Writers with leading medical communications companies in New York City.

Medical Information Specialist ($70-90K) The Medical Information Specialist researches and writes various types of medical documents for pharmaceutical clients (such as standard medical letters, drug formulary dossiers, and manuscripts). Requires an advanced degree; experience in pharmaceutical industry or agency-based medical communications; strong medical writing and verbal communication skills; knowledge of AMA manual of Style; and ability to work under deadline pressure. 

Science Director / Research Manager ($70-100K) Candidate should have an advanced degree - and experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.  The job will include developing a deep understanding of the market dynamics and key issues surrounding the current and future agency products.  There will be an emphasis on new business.  Candidate should be comfortable dealing with medical consultants, including key opinion leaders and other healthcare professionals.  He/She should have an understanding of medical and marketing resources to help analyze the market situation for prescription drugs. Their ideal candidate will have medical marketing experience and/or market research experience – and a genuine interest in this type of work.

Associate Medical Director ($70-90K) The Associate Medical Director is responsible for the development of scientific content across multiple therapeutic areas. Primary responsibilities include the generation of scientific content for enduring materials, development of publication strategies, positioning of key data, communication with program directors, clients, key opinion leaders, and faculty, and scientific contribution to business development. Some travel is required. Requires an advanced degree and 2+ years of experience in medical education or relevant experience in the discipline(s) under their direction.

 

Medical Writer ($70K) Will be responsible for writing content for a variety of audiences, including primary and secondary manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, advisory board meeting reports, competitor intelligence reports, abstracts and posters for international congresses, and slide presentation kits; analyzing and summarizing published medical literature for communication plans; collaborating with account teams, clients, and key opinion leaders. Requires an advanced degree and strong medical writing skills.
