The Connecting Link offers graduate level course credit through partnerships with accredited institutions of higher learning. Professional Development Instructor – Site-based instruction

Are you interested in playing a key role in shaping the future of education?  The Connecting Link offers courses that enhance classroom skills, while providing graduate level course credit for step advancement and renewal of teaching certificates.  We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors who will make learning enjoyable and fulfilling.

Responsibilities

-        Teach material from approved curriculum and supplement lesson plans to include instructional aids.

-        Evaluate participant assignments and final projects to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.

-        Complete grade reports and return all necessary paperwork to TCL in a timely manner.

-        Provide regular, accurate, and timely feedback to participants and TCL concerning academics, attendance, etc.

-        Maintain expertise in subject area and recommend improvements in curriculum design.

-        Supplement TCL’s marketing by networking in local school districts to encourage enrollments.

-        Motivate and inspire participants to actively engage in classroom activities.

-        Maintain certificate/license as required by state or accrediting commissions.

Requirements

-        Masters degree or higher in Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education.

-        Minimum of 10 years experience in PreK-12 education.

-        Current teaching certificate and/or professional license.

-        Proficient with Microsoft Office products and use of the Internet.

-        Computer literacy.

-        Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills required.

-        Ability to utilize different methods and mediums in delivering course material.

-        Demonstration of expertise in specialized content areas highly recommended (i.e. Mentoring, ESL, Special Education, ADHD, Autism, Technology, etc.)
