Production Planner/Buyer

Parker Hannifin Corporation, Electromechanical Automation Division in Port Washington, NY, manufactures electromechanical products and systems for positioning and motion control.  We are accepting applications for a Production Planner/Buyer who will be responsible for scheduling and expediting the movement of parts to meet customer ship dates, projecting component availability, preparing work orders for production to support production schedule, ship lead, and inventory requirements, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing parts, services, and supplies, reviewing and adjusting MRP, setting up and adjusting Kanban/JIT systems, and supporting manufacturing work.  BS in Supply Chain Management or business administration with 5 years of production scheduling, purchasing/buying experience, and strong computer and communication skills.  Experience in continuous improvement, pull systems, and mistake proofing is desired.  Ability to foster and maintain high levels of employee involvement.  We work in a fast-paced environment with bright, talented individuals.
