Position Overview: Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Production Engineer – Cook Inlet Operations, located in Anchorage, Alaska. This Production Engineering position is involved in all aspects of the base business in the Cook Inlet Offshore Oil properties. As a member of the Cook Inlet Oil Operations Team, this position is responsible for Production Engineering and Economic Modeling of the offshore oil fields in Cook Inlet to support the team’s goals of optimizing the existing well performance and economics. The Production Engineer plays a support role to the Asset Development Team and Drilling Team in identifying and developing opportunities within and near existing mature fields. The Production Engineer must be proactive, utilizing a value driven approach balanced with technical evaluation and risk management.

Qualifications:

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Manage day-to-day existing wells from the completion through the artificial lift. • Identify, evaluate and economically screen workover options and reservoir management opportunities to build an inventory of projects for project execution. • Evaluate key performance base business metrics. • Optimize activities to drive improvements in well performance. • Develop fit for purpose reports and IT tools to support the well surveillance process. • Monitor execution of the optimization project inventory. • Perform look-back analysis on executed projects. • Support the asset development team in preparing the business case supporting recommendations on redevelopment and development. • Perform reservoir and project risk assessments. • Assist with decision and economic analysis. • Develop reservoir management plans, workover proposals and economic evaluations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have: • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. • Knowledge of standard applications such as Nodal Analysis, Pressure Transient Analysis, Economics and Microsoft Office. • The ability to work within a cross-functional team. • The ability to make quick, accurate decisions, along with the ability to perform under the pressure of tough deadlines with a strong focus on results. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate: • A Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering considered. • The ability to communicate effectively within a multifunctional work group. • The desire and ability to rapidly learn and develop proficiency in critical technical areas such as artificial lift and reservoir management.
