CITY: Universal City STATE: California COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): This attorney will be responsible for negotiating and drafting acquisition, financing/tax, development, production and distribution agreements. Other responsibilities will include handling all legal matters during the course of production, including evaluating rights/chain of title issues, clearance matters, guild issues, advertising, promotion and publicity issues. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Must be a member of the California State Bar. Five or more years of experience as a transactional attorney at a major motion picture company or major entertainment law firm with emphasis in the areas of motion picture production, financing/tax, distribution and acquisition arrangements. A strong background in copyright law, both US and foreign and intellectual property matters is required. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 756707 ). Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice. Must be willing to work in Universal City. Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
