Description:
Essential Job Functions
Develops new product ideas and enhances existing products; manages the design, pricing, and help in marketing of products and services in order to provide support for the full life cycle of products and product lines.Tracks market dynamics and potential market size to identify new and existing account development opportunities to sales teams in order to increase market share.
Manages relationships with customers, brand management, and development groups to act as a primary point of contact to provide input on customer product and operational requirements.
Reviewsrevenue forecast information; identifies fluctuations to financial targets and adjusts strategies to realize financial commitments for sale of multiple products and product lines.
Enhances product sales by supporting relationships with vertical, partner, systems integrator, consultant, and professional services organizations to enhance client relationships. Assumes a lead role in influencing client expectations and ensuring client satisfaction in area of responsibility and related issues.
Oversees and provides technical assistance and support to less experienced product managers to ensure client satisfaction.
Develops product management best practices to ensure that product development meets client needs and support company business objectives.
Performs market research; prepares reports and presentations to inform and present opportunities to clients, marketing, and management. .
Manages client expectations and balances the needs of organization and client to ensure satisfaction for all relevant parties.
Participates in discussions regarding project decisions and project direction at the executive level. Performs periodic updates to internal and external audiances


Basic Qualifications

Master's degreeOR equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree in marketing, business, administration, or related field preferred
Twelve or more years of experience in product management
Nine or more years of supervisory or management experience included
Experience working with product systems design principles and customization strategies when integrating hardware or software products
Experience working with financial operations concepts, practices, and procedures
Experience working with product systems design principles

Other Qualifications

Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
Strong skills in product development methodology such as Vision & Strategy (VS), Business Area Architecture (BAA), Custom Development (ICD), Package Based Development (PBD) or Accelerated Application Development (AAD)
Strong organization and time management skills
Strong communication skills
Good presentation skills to present ideas or tasks to individuals and groups
Strong creative thinking/designing skills
Good leadership skills to mentor, motivate and provide guidance to project personnel
Ability to anticipate problems, handle and resolve ambiguity and take decisive action, with regard to the impact on the client and company
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
