MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND CLIENT RELATIONS
New Jersey based-Reputable and highly creative medical education agency that is experiencing a banner year is seeking a senior level professional with medical education agency background to join a dynamic team. Agency handles both CME and non CME Medical Education development of educational and medical communications programs and strategies for Pharmaceutical companies and within the area of clinical science.
We are seeking a VP of Business Development (8-10 years medical education experience) and Client Services Director (3-5 years medical education experience). VP position is defined as a hybrid role in that it will primarily be more of a sales role, however combined with client servicing of accounts and marketing as well. Seeking an individual with ability to bring in and build new business, eventually lead a team and manage accounts/ clients as well. Director will manage accounts and be responsible for building business with existing pharmaceutical clients.
Key responsibilities will be:
Revenue Generation primarily through winning new business leads and meeting new sales revenue expectation (VP role) but also through “organic” sales defined as building business upon all ready existing accounts (Director role). Once again it is important to mention that this is NOT purely a sales role. The Director of Client Services role will not have the responsibility of new sales but generating new business upon existing business while overseeing the pharmaceutical client account.
Provide leadership and guidance to the existing team as well as performance management, mentoring and coaching
Collaborate with department leaders and implement new ideas and suggestions to the group
Help implement and manage strategic marketing strategies with superior ability to plan, develop and deliver medical education, publication plans and tactics.
Penetrate and develop new therapeutic product lines for the company
Develop and nurture multi level relationships with clients to generate business
Requirements
** VP role-8-10 years Ideally seeking individual with hybrid background, medical education/medical communication agency sales as well as pharmaceutical industry marketing experience in product management or brand management. If not the ideal must have experience within medical education agency either cme or non CME.
***Director role- 3-5 Years There is another position as well that requires 3-5 years experience in medical education and this position will be more overseeing and directing development and delivery of medical education projects and publications and building business upon existing business.
**Understanding of ACCME, OIG, AMA and pharmaceutical guidelines
**B.S. ideally health sciences or business management. Advanced degree PharmD or PhD highly preferred.
