Red Hat seeks a product marketing manager for our Appliance operating system (AOS). Software appliances will redefine how software is developed, tested, distributed, managed, and supported -- and Red Hat intends to lead this change.  We have the opportunity to significantly improve the value software developers and vendors can provide their customers, while at the same time improve their economics and market reach.  We are looking for a product marketing leader to make this potential real.  This is a key position to help grow the business towards the billion dollar mark in the face of aggressive competition from the biggest companies in the industry.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the AOS business strategy, and defining the product requirements.  Responsibilities include business strategy and planning, and product marketing.  This is a role which requires close involvement with our Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and customers, and our teams who manage those relationships. 


You must have:

    * Superb product marketing experience with complex product lines the the enterprise infrastructure or enterprise software arena.
    * The ability to build and execute creative, realistic strategic plans.
    *  To achieve challening financial and market share objectives.
    * Confidence working with a team of equally qualified professionals toward a common goal of growth.
    * Great knowledge of software application development, configuration, deployment and management lifecycles, processes, and economics
    *  Experience delivering significant new enterprise or infrastructure software products to market, as an product marketing manager, product manager, or engineering manager.
    *  Experience in business development

We'll need to see that you can identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions to address them. That you can create effective product and solution messaging, collateral and tools, and business plans.   Credible customer facing and public speaking skills are important.
