CITY: Arden Hills STATE: Minnesota COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Key role to drive GE Security Intrusion Detection product portfolio growth across the Americas region and take a global responsibility in wireless sensor by partnering with the sales and marketing team across the globe teams, developing regional and vertical market strategies and executing technical product roadmaps. Responsible for $50M in product sales, defining market strategies for new and existing products and serving as the key interface between the customer/market needs and the engineering organization. Among key responsibilities: * Assure profitable growth, both in the short- as well as in the long-term, by developing strategic marketing plans, bringing innovative products with clear advantage over competitive offerings in a smart way to the market * Work closely with the Engineering and Sales Leaders to develop and maintain the multi-generational-product-plans (MGPP) and evaluate possible Business Development opportunities * Drive the roll out of key NPI's, focus on the big swings * Ensure product portfolio represents the optimum between market requirements on one side and the possibilities and objectives of the Company on the other side * Follow-up on competition and complete competitive benchmarking in partnership with Marketing * Assume the role of liaison between the product and sales, customer service, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, and other supporting departments to prepare for new product introductions and product obsolescence * Track product performance after market introduction * Determine optimized pricing strategy for products and channels for the business * Prepare a plan for phasing-out / selling out of slow-moving or low-CM-generators * Monitor sales and contribution margin and escalates concerns with respect to performance * Review product line orders/CM trends to assist in forecasting * Responsible for revenues and margin targets for assigned product lines Qualifications/Requirements: * Must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. * Must have at least 5 years Product Development / Management and /or Product Marketing experience * Global mind set, experience in leading and driving projects internationally * Previous experience in the Security industry or excellent track record in a strategic Product Management role within a different industry * Able to undertake frequent travel, up to 75% * Must submit your application for employment through www.gecareers.com to be considered. * Must be 18 years or older. * Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process. * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. * Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. * Must be willing to work out of an office in Arden Hills, MN. * Must be willing to accept an annual salary that is not more than $110,000.00 Desired: * Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. * Passionate and articulate speaker with excellent verbal communication and presentation skills General: About GE's Security Business GE Security, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), is a leading supplier of security and life safety technologies, with operations in more than 35 countries and $1.8 billion in annual sales.
