Our client is one of the SF Bay Area's fastest growing technology companies!!  They currently seek a Product Manger or Sr. Product Manger to take a lead role for the informatics tools associated with one of their most important instruments!

 

The individual in this role should be very comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and will be responsible for managing the marketing activities sufficient to ensure the continued development and commercial success of our client’s leading edge sequencing technology platform in a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar market.

 

Primary responsibilities in this role:

Collaborate with corporate scientists and industry thought leaders to guide the portfolio of applications offered.  Lead the creation of marketing requirements; establish priorities, and anticipate the evolution, refinement, and extension of the technology platform. Collaboratively develop the Marketing Communications plan and budget to support the commercial success of the technology platform. Work in cross functional teams and with third party agencies to generate all system collateral, including training material, promotional items and related marketing activities. Ensure successful design and deployment of system extensions by partnering with R&D, Operations, and the Field team. Develop high quality relationships with key customers to ensure success of the platform. Collaborate with the Field team to achieve annual revenue plan milestones.

Required Experience:

Typically 3+ years experience in bioinformatics or other life sciences product management role Experience developing and implementing marketing plans for technologies in the life sciences, or related markets. Experience establishing product requirements and driving product development consistent with those requirements. Demonstrable team and relationship building abilities both with internal and external customers. Thorough knowledge of currently available bioinformatics applications, computer platforms, and programming languages. Solid background in applied statistics in the context of bioinformatics Experience setting pricing and discounting policies. Advanced LifeScience, Computer Science, Mathematics Degree is highly desirable. Programming experience is a plus.

Special Note: Compensation and level of the position will be commensurate with relevant experience.
