We currently seek a high caliber Product Engineer for a permanent position within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Van Buren, AR, you will be working for a leading manufacturing organization.
Job Description:
Coordinates and leads field and corporate initiatives towards insuring that product complies with all agency specifications including UL, NSF, FM and ASTM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Designs, implements and monitors all activities towards meeting product specifications.
Manages projects and project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Directs integration of technical activities and products.
Accountable for controlling expenditures within limits of project budget.
Prepares AFE proposals, monthly updates and completed project reports.
Interface with Uni-Bell, AWWA, and ASTM through committee activities.
Monitor all relevant industry standards and keep standard library up to date.
Analyze field complaints to determine cause. Coordinate with Quality Assurance personnel to have proper testing performed. Provide justification for denial of claims and negotiate complaint settlements as required.
Travel to jobsites to gather information relative to field problems.
Coordinate and maintain information related to all field complaints. Analyze trends to initiate preventative action or suggest product improvements.
Provide technical support for sales force by putting on training seminars, making engineering presentations, and answering email and phone questions related product and application questions. Generate technical content for literature and website. Verify the accuracy and relevancy of technical information provided. Attend trade shows in a product support role.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in engineering field from four-year College or university; and minimum 4 years’ experience as an Engineer in the pipe industry. Proficient in AutoCAD and manufacturing documentation and control.
