Position Description: The ChemGuard Product Engineer will demonstrate an expert level of knowledge in specified skill areas and have multiple areas of responsibility within the semiconductor industry. They will have strong technical knowledge, with emphasis on professional development, including the ability to interact constructively in formal settings, and the application of experience to new situations. This individual should understand the products and equipment required for specific tools and processes. The individual must demonstrate project management responsibilities for new chemical equipment facilitation, testing, start-up, and system repair. They must demonstrate an expert proficiency in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and system troubleshooting. The primary responsibility of the Product Engineer is to develop and implement various issues that occur with the ChemGuard product line, perform upgrades and oversee start-up of new equipment. These projects require multi-disciplinary interaction with design engineering, operations, safety, quality control and controllership personnel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. This individual must display capacity to effectively communicate to groups of people while being evaluated on report quality, knowledge of subject, preparation, and presentation. The individual must also always present a professional image to the customer. The Engineer will act as the single point of contact in the area for all issues on the ChemGuard product line. This person will be a key interface between Megasys Operations, the EES Product Manager, Sustaining Engineering and the Customer. In addition, they will provide training and qualify others on the systems. This position will report into the Megasys Operations organization with dotted line responsibility to EES Services. Position Qualifications & Requirements: - BS degree in Mechanical Engineering desired. 3-5 years field experience with ChemGuard Product line will be considered in lieu of degree. - Experience in construction and construction safety practices, chemical piping and equipment installation practices - Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and tasks - Wide range of PC software skills to effectively program systems and install data records when troubleshooting - Perform Fingerprints, OPL's and BKM's to the EES and Operations organization Air Products (NYSE:APD) serves customers in industrial, energy, technology and healthcare markets worldwide with a unique portfolio of atmospheric gases, process and specialty gases, performance materials, and equipment and services.
