Description: Eaton Corporation located in Eden Prairie, MN has an opening for Product Engineer (Systems Engineer).

The primary responsibilities of the Product Engineer (Senior Systems) include:
- Supporting systems-level engineering activities during the design, development, and productionization of an on-highway hybrid hydraulic powertrain system.

Other job functions include:
-Working with customers to specify vehicle packaging interfaces, specifying hydraulic component requirements, and/or specifying electronic controller and wire harness requirements.
-Assisting the marketing function with obtaining voice-of-the-customer information and translating it into technical requirements.
-Implementing control algorithms to integrate the hydraulic system with the vehicle powertrain and brake systems.
-Leading vehicle development as it relates to performance, fuel economy, emissions, durability, and environmental requirements.
-Ensuring that the vehicle performance meets customer wants and needs.
-Develop control models and simulations to accelerate product development and enhance product performance.

-B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
-M.S. preferred.

Experience Requirements:
-Must have a 5+ years experience in hydraulics components and/or systems engineering and product development. Must have experience working with customers.
-Ideal candidate will have extensive experience with hydrostatic transmissions and electro-hydraulic systems.
-Must have good teaming, written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience working with global cultures a plus.
-Experience in entrepreneurial organizations and/or government contracts desired.
