We have an opening in our Virginia Beach, VA office for a Project Business Administrator and Purchaser for Engineering/Construction Projects.
Job Description: This position will provide administrative and accounting support to construction/engineering projects. The candidate will perform field purchasing, receiving, vendor and subcontractor invoice review, timekeeping, equipment and material and subcontract sourcing. The candidate will establish, maintain, and report actual costs, budget variances, purchase orders and subcontracts. Candidate will audit weekly posting of charges to work budgets and assist with invoicing. Candidate will also support procurement activities and perform additional assignments as needed. This position may require occasional travel.
Job Requirement / Experience Needed: Requires 2 year associates degree with accounting, math or business emphasis, or 4 years of progressive experience in purchasing, billing, budget tracking and reporting; and 4 years experience in purchasing, budget/cost reporting or equivalent work experience in federal construction/engineering project reporting. Position requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Penta or Oracle based accounting systems preferred. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, flexibility with work assignments, and a positive attitude. Position requires background check and pre-employment drug screening. Also requires valid driver's license and ability to acquire security clearance.
