Pilgrim’s Pride is seeking a Processing Supervisor (Shift 2) for our plant in El Dorado, AR.

This position is responsible for assuring all procedures are followed in achieving the highest level of productivity in the most cost efficient manner possible while still maintaining the specification of the customer. Duties include scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of work as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager. Recommends personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, and/or disciplinary actions.

Basic Responsibilities:
• Directing the work schedules of hourly partners.
• Maintaining efficient work standards
• Training new Partners in area assigned.
• Providing customer with their orders in a timely manner.
• Must work closely with USDA and Quality Assurance to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring Partners work and act in a safe manner.
• Promoting Continuous Improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimal, if any, travel is required.
• Incumbent is required to be on-call 25% - 49% of the time.
• Frequent exposures to extreme levels of unfavorable temperature, air and noise conditions, chemical gases and substances, and/or contagious diseases.

Basic Qualifications:
- 1 to 3+ years of directly related experience and/or training primarily in the food industry.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
- Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
- Previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees.
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and labor agreement.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners.
- Capable of independant decision making.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Directly related work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.
