Process / Quality Professional Services Consultant

This position will primarily conduct business out of Dyadem’s American Corporate office located in Houston Texas and reports directly to the Quality Management Consulting Manager that is located at Dyadem’s Canadian Headquarters in Richmond Hill, Canada.

This position involves travel on a frequent basis within the USA and may occasionally include travel to other client global locations as well. The incumbent will also be working with Dyadem’s Sales, Engineering, and fellow PS Consultants to develop and deliver Risk Management related Professional Services across the full range of Dyadem’s products and client base. 

Principal functions and responsibilities include:

a) teaching various Risk Management methodologies typical in the Process Chemical industry such as Hazop, Preliminary Hazop, What If, Checklist, Job Safety Analysis, etc.

b) teaching various Risk Management methodologies typical in the General Manufacturing industry such as (FMEA) Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, (FMECA) Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, (FTA) Fault Tree Analysis, etc.

c) providing the above training at both the Houston office training center and onsite at clients global locations

d) providing client on-site risk analysis facilitations, specialized consulting services, and applicable software training which includes Dyadem’s PHA / FMEA / Risk Safe & FTA software packages

e) providing  applicable professional services training and support for clients installing Dyadem’s newest Stature software which is a web based QLM and PLM enterprise system.

f) providing sales support to secure new business with potential clients

g) providing training services by instructing and educating junior staff within Dyadem

h) other support functions as periodically required by management

The Process / Quality Professional Services Consultant is also responsible for guiding Dyadems engineering standards and best practices in regards to the various industrial verticals within Dyadem’s client base.  Those verticals include industries such as oil and gas, general process, general manufacturing, mining, aerospace, electronic, automotive, etc. 

The Process / Quality Professional Services Consultant incumbent should be able to:

1.      Lead a team of technical personnel and professionals in the application of Dyadems engineering standards in the following analysis/assessment/modeling and reporting:

o   PHA Hazop training

o   FMEA, Reliability and Quality  training

o   QFD, FMEA, MSA, and SPC

o   FMEA (familiarity with J1739, ARP 5580, IEC 60812)

o   FMECA (as per MIL 1629A)

o   Facilitation of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

o   Six Sigma certification/experience is an asset

2.      Engineering Project Management

o   Coordinate projects relating to hazard and reliability management and engineering services

o   Communicate with all related parties to ensure smooth execution of projects

o   Delegates work to subordinates and guides work progress through to scheduled completion

o   Ensure finish products satisfy both Dyadems and clients’ requirements

3.      Training Services

o   Conduct only expert level hazard analysis /reliability/quality management training where required.

4.      Business Development

o   Support and provide guidance to business development of hazard analysis/reliability/quality management and engineering services

Software related Responsibilities

1.      Help ensure that Industrial Sectors needs are reflected in all related software projects.  This will be accomplished by:

o   Communicating with relevant product managers for each respective product.

o   Working co-operatively with product mangers to ensure a balance between engineering standards and market driven requests is maintained.

2.      Provide technical engineering standard guidance and assistance to both business and products development (both new and current products), particular focus on impacts to software products due to change industry practices / trends / regulations / standards . 

           QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

The successful candidate will possess Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent and have professional engineering status. Knowledge of Statistical Techniques, Design of Experiments, and SPC are definite assets. Must possess sound judgment; well developed analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent project management, leadership, interpersonal, oral communication, technical report writing skills and high level of proficiency with MS Office are required for resources management, preparation and presentation of proposals, reports and training materials.

Prior industrial experience in an Engineering or Management role is a definite assest.

Management Skills

Require effective project management, communication and work coordinate skills. Ability to motivate staff and team leadership skills are required.

Requires the ability to conduct business on a daily basis with all levels of personnel at client locations and fellow staff members within various departments throughout Dyadem International.
