Visit us at www.bio-rad.com Supports sustaining process activities in assigned manufacturing area and serves as a technical resource for Production R&D, Marketing, RA/QA, QC and ME. Assesses manufacturability and validates moderate to complex product formulations, modifications and/or root cause investigations with regard to desired product performance, design control and CAPAs. Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) teams with responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering deliverables. Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects. Generate Manufacturing procedures, Bill of Materials, standard costing data and Product Routing structures. Assist in the creation and/or revision of ME policies, procedures and related SOPs and WDIs. Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in related life science or technical discipline. Experience: ' BS plus 3 to 5 years of full time experience in a technically related position, OR ' MS plus 1 to 2 years of full time experience in a technically related position. ' Requires a working knowledge and application within a GMP environment of product scale up, new product introduction, risk analysis, DOE, validation. ' In-depth knowledge and experience in biological and chemical processing; fill and bottling automation equipment. ' Requires ability to influence through negotiation and persuasion in cooperative internal and external relationships. Skills: ' Requires application of statistical techniques in establishing process control, sample plans, and DOE. ' Requires working knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing systems (Kaizan, pull-systems, 5S). ' Requires a basic knowledge of computer software programs such as MS Office, ERP systems (BaaN), Minitab, etc. RESPOND HERE!
