We are making great progress toward inventing a new future for 3M – a future of faster growth and increased competitiveness, while continuing to deliver superior results.   This New Ulm Process Engineering position will support the Plastic Molding and Assembly focused factory of the 3M New Ulm Plant. 3M New Ulm Plant is comprised of about 650 employees in a union-free setting. New Ulm is located approximately 100 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. The community is considered to be a fantastic place to raise a family.  Primary Responsibilities:Identifying and implementing safety, quality, service, and productivity/cost improvement projects on process technologies that include plastic injection molding and high speed automated mechanical assembly. Cross-functional team leadership for new process start-ups, new process technology integration, aggressive cost reduction, and supply chain improvement/management using Lean Six Sigma.Candidates must possess the ability to perform root cause analysis and apply systematic problem solving skills. Prior experience in the application of statistical tools for data analysis and decision making is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills are vital, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. 

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

BS Degree At least one year experience.

 Preferred Qualifications:

3-4 years process engineering experience  2-3 years high speed automated mechanical assembly experience BS in Chemical or Mechanical engineering
