Engineering client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for Process Engineers with 5-20+ years of experience designing chemical process plants for large process plant design/build projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with Air Separation or Hydrogen process plant design projects, but design experience for other process plants (chemical, refinery, gas, LNG, etc...) will be considered. You need a BSChE degree, advanced degrees considered a plus. You must have experience creating complete (inlet feed to outlet production) process models with process plant simulation software (HYSIS, HYSIM, UNISIM, ASPEN, ChemCAD, Pro-II, etc...). You will perform process design, develop preliminary process flow diagrams and provide performance estimates (flow rates, heat & material balances) for client requested studies and/or budgetary proposals. You will select or participate in the selection of proper materials of construction for major equipment and piping components. You will provide or review the process vessel/reactor/distillation column size, operating levels, temperature, pressure and corrosion requirements. You will be expected to perform or review detailed pressure drop calculations for all major process lines. You will assist the Instrument Engineer with proper process data for instrumentation and valve sizing. You should have some experience with control valve sizing, relief valve sizing, & flare header network sizing. Great opportunity, pay, benefits & 401k plan. Relocation package provided!! Questions you will be asked:
• How many years of experience do you have as a Process Engineer involved with chemical process plant design-build (EPC) projects?
• Do you have a BSChE degree? Do you have any advanced degrees? Are you willing to work in North Atlanta, GA?
• What type of chemical process plant (refinery, hydrogen, air separation, gas, lng, etc...)? What company were you working for at the time?
• Do you have recent experience creating complete (inlet feed to outlet production) process plant models?
• Which chemical process simulation software (HYSIS, HYSIM, UNISIM, ASPEN, ChemCAD, Pro-II, etc...) are you proficient with using? How often do you currently use this software?
