Inquire as to their needs and direct clients to appropriate officer or staff member. Identify and respond to sales opportunities that arise from client inquiries. Assess and consult client to maximize service usage and investment opportunities through the interview process. Present and discuss the appropriate product and service options. Sell multiple services by suggesting a package strategy to obtain the best results based on individual desires and resources. Refer clients identified as needing services outside the defined consumer/business service scope to the appropriate banker or department to cross-sell additional services/products. Contact current Priority Banking clients to solicit new business by mail or telephone to meet specific goals as outlined for each PBA. Assist Priority Banking officers with implementation of marketing plan to achieve assigned goals. Assist supervisor with the execution of any and all in-branch promotions. Assist clients by resolving new account related problems and answer questions regarding services or products. Open new accounts; maintain internal client records. Provide support/assistance, when deemed feasible by supervisor, in service and sales related issues. Open new accounts in compliance with established policies and procedures. Ensure that the account is set up properly, and that the accurate sales credit is recorded. Assist in maintaining internal client records. Introduce clients to Private Service Line for handling of telephone transactions. Complete all necessary PSL documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services, related documentation and account processing procedures. Maintain current awareness of competitive products and pricing. Assure proper handling of service requests and resolution of client problems Develop an organized calling program. Make joint client/prospect calls with Priority Banking officers/managers, Branch Managers, and other bank departments as appropriate. Develop a referral network through calling efforts, community involvement and client satisfaction. Identify opportunities for new business from existing customers and independently pursue or cross-sell opportunities to enhance relationships. Package each new request for referral to the appropriate Priority Banking officer or Loan Center (i.e. gather financial statements and appropriate documentation). Interview consumer loan applicants and answer basic questions on consumer loan applications. Review applications for completeness and forward documents to consumer loan center for processing. Previous experience as a Priority Banking Representative or comparable experience. Requires the ability to use PC word processing software such as Word or WordPerfect and spreadsheet software such as Lotus 1-2-3 or Excel. Also requires the ability to use FAMAS and TaxAnalysis software or the willingness to learn. Requires comprehensive knowledge of all UBOC business and personal bank products. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently. Requires strong sales, service and organizational skills, the ability to recognize client needs and match them to bank products.
