Summary:
Serve as principal software engineer for Department of Defense (DoD) simulation/war games software development program.

Duties:
*Provide structured, object-oriented software testing support for the full life cycle of the system including: design, development, integration, test and transition into operations
*Direct the software architect/lead in developing technical solutions to complex problems while adhering CMMI policies, procedures, and documentation..
*Supervise a software team for the research, design and development software systems, software applications and tools for new programs as well as enhancements and modifications to existing software.
*Taking responsibility of the full software life cycle including the application of standard methodologies such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
*Position will have a system/software engineering role to help define/track key requirements and support architecture design of an integrated air and missile defense system.
*Working closely with software engineering members, the individual will work to ensure synchronization across all work products including test via traceability and design documentation.
*Participate in software requirement review, preliminary and critical design, integration readiness review and software acceptance review efforts.
*Act as technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal and existing program
*Plan subsystem work packages and then manage the activities to the programs cost, schedule and technical.
*Mentor and guide junior software engineers

**Must already have a Secret Security Clearance in place**

Qualifications:
*Masters degree or Bachelors degree in a related discipline.
*Minimum of 10 years directly related experience is also required.

*Working closely with software engineering members, the individual will work to ensure synchronization across all work products including test via traceability and design documentation.
