The Principal Software Engineer architects and designs multi-platform application programs, functions, services, and other related software components in response to problem and project change requests of the highest complexity and risk. Provides guidance to project teams developing n-tier distributed applications for cost effective solutions aligned with the business vision and requirements.  

Identifies, documents, and analyzes business and technology requirements and/or constraints which impact or influence any aspect of project goals/objectives.

Provides technical insight and direction on project initiatives from a hardware/software perspective.

Contributes regular feedback from project activities toward refinement of the Enterprise Architecture model.

Defines and delivers cost-effective technical solutions to customers.

Maintains the integrity and quality of product designs and solution.

 

 

·        Requires at least ten years experience with n-tier and client server design/development. ·        Requires at least five years of Siebel implementation experience with at least four full project life cycles: planning, analysis, functional & technical design, development, testing and implementation. ·        Requires deep understanding of Siebel application architecture, Siebel data model, configuration tools, adaptors to interface with external systems, and Siebel server side processes. ·        Requires a comprehensive understanding of the major Siebel modules including Siebel 7.8 Financial Services, Call Center, Agent Portal, Healthcare & Insurance, and Healthcare Analytics. ·        Technical expertise should include Siebel Tools 7.8 / 8.0, CTI, EIM, E-scripting, Workflow, Assignment Manager, EAI integration and server administration.  Experience with performance testing and Siebel tuning a plus. ·        Requires sound business aptitude; experience in financial or health insurance-related industry preferred. ·        Requires experience in project management processes and techniques. ·        Requires demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to share and transfer own knowledge. ·        Requires adaptability to either lead project or work as individual contributor motivated by working in a team environment. ·        Requires excellent presentation and facilitation skills. ·        Requires ability to effectively collaborate with the IT organization and with business clients. ·        Requires ability to successfully prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and assignments. ·        Requires excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and communication skills. ·        Siebel 7.7 or 8.0 certification strongly desired
