Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking a Principal Engineer with a background in providing mining-related engineering design services with a focus on civil, water resources, or geotechnical engineering to join our Reno, NV office and become an integral member of our design team, providing both office and field support for mining projects.

Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for growing and managing an engineering design group with a primary focus of supporting the mining industry. Responsibilities will include marketing/business development, group management, project management, project execution, and overall quality control of deliverables. Areas of focus include the design, construction, operational monitoring, and closure of tailings dams, heap leach pads, waste rock storage facilities, and ancillary facilities. Position will require interaction with other Tetra Tech offices in the western United States.

Experience: 15 years' (min.) related experience providing design services to the mining industry. Nevada mining experience preferred.

Skills Requirements: Strong technical and business development capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good work ethic and positive attitude.

Degree Requirements: Minimum B.S. in Civil Engineering or related (geological, environmental, mining) engineering discipline. Must be a Nevada PE.
