Position: Principal                                          

MOCA Systems is a rapidly growing, nationally recognized Project and Construction Management firm that provides owners with Project Controls service (cost estimating, scheduling, and claims / changes analysis) and a differentiated approach to managing their construction projects throughout programming, design and construction. 

MOCA project and construction management services are based on existing cost and scheduling tools such as Primavera™ and our proprietary MOCABuild™ software platform that augments these applications with an ability to simulate the construction project for more refined cost estimates integrated with labor-driven schedules.  With this capability, the team provides unparalleled project and construction management services.

With MOCA experiencing unprecedented growth, we are actively seeking a Principal to take part in and manage the production of accurate, detailed cost estimates and schedules.

MOCA Systems is currently seeking a Principal to lead their Honolulu, HI office.  This position will be responsible for executing and managing all aspects of projects and programs within the Pacific Region.  The ideal candidate will have proven success in business development: identifying, establishing, and managing strategic client relationships, identifying client needs, and gathering resources and building effective project delivery teams to help win and deliver work.   As a leader you will be able to foster skills among project staff through mentoring and coaching.

Qualities you will have if you are a great candidate

Are you able to perform the typical duties and responsibilities this job requires?

·         Four-year college degree (B.S.) Required

·         PE, AIA, PMP, or CCE preferred

·         15 years of related Engineering experience in construction, cost estimating or scheduling

·         Demonstrated MS Excel and Word proficiency

·         Experience with Department of Defense Construction Programs is a plus

·         Solid organization, planning, and leadership skills

·         Good working relationships with NAVFAC or AFCEE a plus

·         3 years of Project controls, scheduling or cost estimating experience preferred

·         Experience with software applications such as Timberline, PACES, RSMeans, Primavera and MCACES is a plus

·         Government experience required

·      Review all documents and site conditions to become familiar with the project

·       Manage and hire a staff of Project Managers and Engineers

·         Ensuring completion of final deliverable on time and within budget.

·      Manage existing clients and pursue business development opportunities

·      Ability to develop business relationships in this region and expand our existing client base

·       Provide quality control and be responsible for all deliverables

·      Responsible for all aspects of work assigned to this office

·      Direct or implement collection of all project data for project files and cost engineering research   

·      Communicate with vendors, clients, engineers, and all team members

·      Review all data to provide continuity and direction of the project
