Position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Responsibilities:

Support business partners on day-to-day accounting related issues Research IFRS, US GAAP, and statutory accounting and financial reporting standards Prepare accounting policy/position papers to support accounting conclusions Monitor emerging accounting issues and analyze impact to the Company and its affiliates Prepare training materials for emerging and new accounting standards Communicate emerging accounting issues and new accounting standards to the Controller’s Organization Interface with and communicate accounting changes to external auditors Lobby key industry trade groups on the development of new accounting standards Prepare or assist in preparation of accounting board comment letters \ Support Allianz SE Group Accounting Policy Department (ADP) on insurance accounting matters and training programs

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting Professional designation (CPA, CMA, etc.) preferred 3-7 years of relevant accounting work experience including public accounting Strong life insurance accounting experience including knowledge of investments and derivatives Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting concepts and guidance (IFRS, US GAAP) Strong written/verbal communication skills Strong project management and problem-solving skills Knowledge of actuarial concepts and modeling Occasional travel
