We are seeking NSAMs for new venture and offices at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods located in Southeastern, Connecticut, as well as our offices at our HQ in Boston.
On site at the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods, the National Sales Account Manager (NSAM) is a confident, consultative and results-oriented individual who is responsible for the development of new and existing clients. Passionate about sales with an independent ability to hunt for opportunities, the NSAM generates qualified sales prospects and opportunities for NXTevent through extensive cold calling, warm leads, face-to-face presentations/meetings and custom company / product presentations.
An ambitious account executive, with the drive, determination and accountability to take on high profile key accounts as well as high level opportunities, the NSAM is responsible for the management of opportunities from the lead development and initial inquiry through the sales and contracting process as well as in the return of the client. The NSAM then serves as the client’s advocate throughout the lifecycle of a program, working closely with the NXTevent operations team to ensure the program exceeds client expectations and is financially successful.
You will have strong existing business, industry and regional event contacts, ideally with an event/dmc agency background, strong leadership, ability to manage significant business demands of being on site at a hotel property and knowledge of key business markets and industry clusters in the region.
As an organized business and industry go getter, NSAM will attend industry and business networking events in CT and RI as well as represents the company, NXTevent, as a business professional and ambassador. Finally, your passport should be ready and updated for travel domestically and internationally to support the new office's sales and marketing plan with events, tradeshows, and sales missions (expect 3-5 times annually).

Upon reaching a minimum annual sales goal with persistent consistency between two quarters, you are eligible for a promotion to National Sales and Account Director. You will not only be able to develop your own sales account team, you will recruit the appropriate number of account coordinators who will support your business unit.

Sales and Business Development
§ Work with company leadership to canvass for potential clients and develop business within vertical markets, as directed.
§ Respond to and qualify incoming leads as directed, both in writing and by telephone.
§ Responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of an Action Sales Plan on a quarterly basis, with weekly and monthly updates to the Director of Sales and Marketing (DSM).
§ Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact to achieve specific business goals, including costs and sales (weekly and monthly).
§ Provide accurate reporting to management regarding customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts and new prospects
Lead and Prospect Management
§ Identify leads through business and industry resources (memberships, Salesman Guides, business publications, etc.).
§ Qualify and respond to leads and inquiries from prospective clients, as directed.
§ Promote NXTevent and all that sets NXTevent apart and qualifies us as the best choice.
§ Develop professional, creative and polished written business proposals for clients which include research and development, program details and pricing.
§ Orchestrate and host well-organized site inspection visits for potential clients.
§ For significant opportunities, consult with potential clients to develop creative concepts for their programs, including well-researched options and their respective costs.
Proposal Writing and Management
§ Direct, and lead proposal management for opportunities, RFPS and RFIs,
§ Develop quintessential, customized written experiences for conventions, events, incentives, meetings and conferences, supporting with our key areas of expertise.
§ Write, edit ad direct professional, creative and polished written business proposals for clients which include research and development, program details and pricing.
§ For significant opportunities, consult with potential clients to develop creative concepts for their programs, including well-researched options and their respective costs.
Contracting and Financial Management
§ Determine agreement/contract type by relationship (straight to invoice, domestic, international, letter of intent, letter of agreement).
§ Customize the NXTevent contract template for each client, managing the edit/change process and obtaining approval from all relevant departments and individuals.
§ Submit signed contract and client deposit to NXTevent accounting.
§ Work with NXTevent management to assign the contract to the appropriate Operations Manager.
§ Manage any contract changes throughout the project using a written change order process.
§ Manage program financial reconciliations, invoicing, client deposits/payment process and collections after the program.
Event Production and Operations
§ Serve as the client’s advocate and primary point of contact for all NXTevent departments.
§ Create the initial program binder, including all details and sections of the program, program organizer/schedule and contact sheets.
§ Officially transfer the operations portion of the program to the operations team.
§ Remain actively engaged throughout the program, ensuring critical path items are running on-track.
§ Work closely with the operations team to monitor invoices and reconcile billing so that the final invoice is accurate and complete.
