Precision AG Hardware Specialist   Central IA DeMoines/Ames 

Make sales calls throughout territory to determine precision agriculture hardware needs, create solutions and build long term relationships with customers that will generate sales of Precision Ag hardware and services. Assist customers and agronomists with sales, installation, calibration, trouble shooting, and training of precision agriculture systems and yield monitors. You need to be mechanically minded, and be able to run wires, fabricate and turn wrenches with ease. Stays educated in regards to Precision Ag products, trends, and challenges to make educated recommendations to producers. Foster an open, participative environment that encourages team work and individual personal and professional growth and development. Represent company at designated trade shows and precision ag industry events, as required. Develop proposals for advertising and promotional programs and materials; including product sales literature, media advertising, online promotions, company website and promotional items/materials. Individual must be a good communicator, have a passion for agriculture, and a knack for mastering the latest technology. Prior sales experience and a working knowledge of Trimble and AgLeader GPS technology is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

Self motivated person that enjoys relationship based sales. Focused on being number one and delivering on your word. Rich sales skills backed up by strong technical and equipment and farm production knowledge. Very ambitious, energetic and goal oriented. Team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills and enjoy working with innovative demanding growers. Valid Drivers license required. Able to lift up to 75lbs. Daily travel within trade area.

Education Required: HS Diploma or GED minimum. Post-secondary education in agronomy or agri-business preferred.
