Are you looking for a company that you can learn and grow?  Then this might be the job for you.  We are looking for a Pre-Press Manager to join our team based in Erlanger, Kentucky.

As a member of the Imaging Team, direct and manage pre-press department to ensure that error free files, films, proofs and print tools are supplied to our internal and external customer base.

Some duties include:

1.     Safety:  Assure the safety of the associates and the safe use of the equipment, including housekeeping.

2.     Financial: Provide input into building the annual plant budget to meet forecast demand.

3.     Vendor Management: Manage and support assigned vendor relationships for the Plant.

4.     Production Goals and Objectives:  Establish, monitor and achieve Imagining Department's operating metrics, such as throughput, waste and housekeeping.

5.     Customer Relationship:  Support a customer-centered (internal and external) culture at the Plant, including customer visits, ensuring on-time deliveries of a quality product, and supporting the development of new products and technologies.

6.     Color Transfer:  Manage all color transfer related work, including color corrections, airbrushing, color transfer assembly or merging, color transfer trapping and special effects.

7.     Stripping:  Manage all stripping functions including making files print ready by adding traps, hold-aways, overprints, rollovers, quality control marks and UPC bar width reduction.

8.     Quality Assurance:  Assure the quality of the imaging functions.

9.     Capacity Rationalization:  Manage the capacity of the imaging processes to meet fluctuating customer demands.

10.  Lean manufacturing:  Create a culture of the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement.

11.  People:  Build, develop and manage a high performing team to support the short-term and long-term growth of the Plant.

12.  Values:  Model the Corporate Values and Principles.

Requirements:

1.     Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Must have 5-7 years of relevant work experience is this specific discipline.

2.     Experience in a packaging graphics organization and familiarity with pre-press specifications for all three major print processes, Gravure, Flexo, and Offset required. Strong background in developing and managing a color management program preferred.

3.     Literate in Microsoft Office or the equivalent.  Technical knowledge of the major software applications for Packaging pre-press (Illustrator, Photoshop, Esko, Artpro) is essential.

4.     Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate in the spoken and written word.

5.     College level math.  Working knowledge of budgets and financials statements.

6.     Move about in offices and plants.  Travel as necessary.

7.     Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making.  Read and analyze production and productivity documents.

8.     Lead, manage and develop others.

9.     Relate to people at all levels of the organization, including diverse cultures.
