Academic Coordinator Join Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions as an Academic Coordinator in our Pre - College division for the DC area!
The outgoing person selected for this position will continually enhance the student experience by assisting in all phases of academic or teacher management within the Tysons Corner Center. Additionally, this person will coordinate all regular staff training sessions for the center.
Responsibilities: Assist with recruiting, auditioning, training, scheduling, and observing teachers in an effort to continually improve teacher quality. Assist in the creation and delivery of course schedules. Assist with the assimilation of new course materials into curriculum, as well as the dissemination of information about course updates. Create and implement staff-training sessions in conjunction with manager. Supervise substitute-teaching assignments. Supervise weekly teacher payroll.
Position Requirements and/or Skills Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent 1+ year experience in education or business setting; teaching and/or curriculum development a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills High energy level and diligent work ethic Passion for customer service Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Ability to travel locally and work occasionally during evenings and weekends Must be authorized to work in the United States
