Platform Software Engineer -Windows CE/ Mobile - Everett WA or Cedar Rapids IA- Contract-hire

·         4 year engineering degree required

·         This job carries responsibilities for the design, implementation and testing of firmware and other system software on innovative Windows CE and Windows Mobile hand-held computers.  

·         The successful candidate will participate in overall system architecture design and developments.

·         Examples of work responsibilities include porting and testing the software to control graphics. Touch screen, keyboard, memory and other system components.

·         This candidate would also participate in qualifying and updating client software in existing designs as needed due to hardware components going end of life, compliance with ROHS, or 3rd party software updates.
