· Supports Facilities Ops & Maintenance to ensure all equipment is adequately maintained & functions properly. · Designs and writes technical specs. Prepares detailed scope of work, construction estimate, and instructions for the fabrication and installation of: Plant equipment, Construction projects, Demolition projects, Process improvement projects. · Designs electrical/mechanical systems and sub-systems. · Prepares capital project requests for bids, evaluate bids, and make recommendations. · Oversee/perform site investigations. · Provides technical assistance on problems in maintenance areas. · Evaluates and prepares economic studies of new or modified facilities. Considered a fully competent Plant Engineer. Experience in developing project scope and request for proposal/bid. Experience in cost estimating, project budgeting and schedule control. Capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of planning, design, procurement and construction. Skilled with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and Microsoft Project. Has obtained a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or EET. Preferred Plant Electrical Engineer should have five years experience with high voltages and power distribution.
