Act as Plant controller in Indiana, to supervise all financial, cost and reporting matters in our Plants, capable of handling the finance operations associated with the day-to-day operations. Ensures that adequate policies and procedures are in place, maintained and followed to protect company assets. Provides accurate and timely financial information and analysis that allows management to make rational and data based decision. With the Plant Manager, is responsible of determining short and long term strategies concerning profitability, efficiency, and other matter. Responsible for the month-end closing process, monitoring the cost accounting system, accounts receivable, accounts payable and other general accounting functions. Produce accurate daily/weekly/monthly reports for management on the key production and financial metrics of the plant. Planning, budgeting, and monthly reporting and forecasting of operational results. Focus on costing and inventory control process & provide informative analyses of the operations for local management and headquarters Assists plant management in decision making process that allows for cost reduction, improvement performance, etc Understand, analyze, and effectively communicate to management, variances from plan and prior year for all relevant Financial Statement information Oversee all the accounting functions including cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, payroll, intangible assets and fixed assets Importation and Exportation management and Foreign Trade Zone management. Transfer pricing/tax effect on internal and external operations And: 1. Participating on Project teams as requested 2. Provide financial direction/assistance on pricing, new business & capital spending 3. Internal Control Procedure 4. Support the preparation of all state and federal tax extension and returns Decision Making: Implementation, application and continued improvement of accounting processes and procedures. Control expenditures curve. Define which importation procedure is to be use in regards to Foreign Trade Zone in Indiana. This position will be directly supervised by the Plant Controller and the Finance Manager at Headquarter in Sterling Heights. Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for managing a staff of three in Indiana Educations: MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Education: A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Must have 5 years of hands-on Plant Controller Managerial experience. Previous Job Experience: (# of years at what level) Must have 5 or more years of recent (within the last 6 months) cost accounting combined with advanced knowledge of PC spreadsheets, databases and mainframe standard cost and inventory systems. Demonstrated understanding of managerial accounting as it relates to a manufacturing. Must be hands on - roll up your sleeves out on the floor Controller. Special Skills or Technical Knowledge Knowledge of SAP software is preferred. Microsoft Office Package proficient. Additional Requirements: The candidate will possess plant controllership experience, as evidenced by sustained career progress, with a best practice global manufacturing company, ideally in the Automotive industry.
