Plant Controller (fort Wayne-auburn In)

PLANT CONTROLLER

Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in the Fort Wayne area looking for a controller.

Must have (no sacrifices-please do not post unless you have)

-must have automotive background (at least 5+ years)

-must have controller experience (at least 4+ years)

would prefer larger companies (100 million+)

Plans, directs, and coordinate financial activities within the facility. Supervise Staff. Insure
     Corporate and Division directives are met.
Functions as active member of Plant Management Team. Provides financial leadership to plant
     manager and plant manager's staff.
Safeguard and control assets of the facility. Includes strict reporting and compliance to the
     Company's Internal Control Program.
Function as key member of plant management team.
Provides timely and accurate financial reports to plant, division, and corporate management as
     required. Includes preparation and reporting of timely and accurate financial implications of
     operating and commercial issues to plant and division management.
Closes books on monthly basis, and prepares and reviews required reconciliation schedules.
Prepares weekly, monthly and annual forecasts.
Prepares annual budget and 5 year plan. Includes development of material costs, labor rates,
     overhead rates and standard costs.
Manages plant Accounting Department. Includes insuring adequate staff training and development.
Champions continuous improvement and lean concepts to drive cost reductions.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Four year Accounting degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree or CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in cost accounting and inventory control.
Experience in developing standard costs.
Automotive experience a plus.
