Position Summary This position is responsible for working with and developing relationships with physicians to increase physician usage of hospital based services for the Eastern Idaho and surrounding areas for the HCA Mountain Division and Eastern Idaho Regional Medial Center. The position is responsible for increasing admissions volumes to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Must be very familiar with hospital operations, language and roles, and will facilitate the retention of physician relationships, growth of new service line business, and other hospital-specific sales responsibilities as an extension of hospital leadership. Must have a strong knowledge of the Idaho healthcare market.Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceExperience: Three or more years experience in healthcare or medical-related fields and sales experience including knowledge of sales strategies preferred.
MAJOR ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES1. Increase use of MountainStar facilities by targeted physicians identified by the director in conjunction with hospital leadership; increase referrals through direct field-based marketing of MountainStar network to physicians and regular meetings with targeted physicians to promote MountainStar’s facilities and programs. Track and analyze progress towards goals and objectives.2. Working with director and facility management teams, develop innovative sales strategies, tactics and programs to build case volume as outlined in the sales plan. Implement core sales strategies as outlined in the sales plan to meet sales goals for each MountainStar facility.3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned physicians and their office staff. Develop ongoing business relationships with key customers, both internal and external.4. Develop and demonstrate professional sales skills that relate to physicians in a manner that allows for development of a collaborative and, where necessary, problem solving relationship.5. Work with business units and service line management within the hospitals to ensure timely response to, and when possible, resolution of issues identified during field visits.6. Provide competitive intelligence and market analysis to MountainStar business units to assist in assessing strengths, weaknesses, and competitive threats to the MountainStar network.7. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of promoted service lines, hospital differentiators and key competitive messages.8. Capture information regarding activities in contact management software; prepare weekly reports for director review. Manage contacts and maintain a level of field activity in adherence with physician sales/contact management standards.Attend and participate in regular sales meetings and on-going sales education and development.
