This Boston based position is responsible for implementing the business plan by seeking out new markets and customers, servicing current customers and optimizing opportunities to increase profitability of a software industry leader.
Must possess professional aggressiveness and a winning attitude. Must have strong presentation skills, be professional in demeanor and dress and have excellent command of the English language. Strong networking and relationship building skills are absolute musts, as is proven independence through experience working in an entrepreneurial environment. Must have strong sense of ethics and value integrity.
Achieve revenue quota through field-based sales of business continuity notification services to targeted major accounts in the assigned territory.
Develop the assigned territory through aggressive cold calling, industry networking, and effective sales follow up.
Identify sales opportunities and effectively drive to closure by applying strategic selling methodologies.
Provide consistently accurate revenue forecasts
Utilize the company's sales force automation application to track the progress of sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Significant travel required within the assigned territory.
Business Continuity industry credentials a plus. Experience selling to business continuity / disaster recovery, human resources, corporate security, and/or Information technology professionals. 5-8 years of solution sales experience in the software, telecommunications, or Internet services industries to major corporate customers; Fortune 1000 accounts.
Extensive travel within assigned territory. Must be comfortable working on feet for a greater part of the day, carrying sales/presentation materials from client to client. Must have the physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
College Degree required
