Facility Description:

Darnall Army Community Hospital is located in the beautiful “hill and lake” country of Fort Hood, Texas.  It is the largest and busiest army community hospital in the country. The hospital serves approximately 10% of the Army based in the continental United States and also one sixth of the Army’s children. On a typical day, the hospital handles more than 3,800 outpatient visits, 26 surgeries, seven deliveries and 170 emergency room visits.  Darnall is also known for operating the largest Blood Bank Center in the Department of the Army.
