Position:
HOUSEHOLD MANAGER and PERSONAL ASSISTANT
Organization: Family Household/Office,
Location: In the home, Chevy Chase, Maryland
Reports to Mrs. and Mr.
SALARY
Salary is based on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Some at managerial level and some hands on
Human Resources:
Manage staff (two full time housekeepers, one full time chef, and two part time housekeepers) overseeing staff issues, including scheduling, hiring, supervision, and maintaining compensation and employment records. (Payroll is automated through {outside service}).
Household:
Deal with existing outside contractors including for repairs, landscaping, computer maintenance, security system, renovations, etc. Periodically drive for offsite meetings, errands, picking up children as requested.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of entertaining, on and off premises
Periodically travel (expenses covered by the family), domestically and/or abroad, as needed and by mutual co-ordination to set up vacation homes.
Financial:
Monitor expenses, track budgets, pay bills as requested (knowledge of Excel, Quicken, Quickbooks extremely desirable)
