Excellent opportunity for a mature, self-motivated, self-directed professional nurse with strong leadership, clinical and communication skills. This position requires 24-hour accountability for excellence in nursing practice in specific patient care areas.  The hospital is an acute care, not-for-profit hospital and offers excellent salary and benefits.

BSN degree required.
ACLS preferred.
S.T.A.B.L.E. preferred.
State of Ohio License, BLS certification, and NRP required.
Four years nursing experience required.
Previous managerial experience preferred.
Must possess perinatal knowledge (Birthing Maternity/Nursery/NICU);at level II or greater.
Ability to prioritize and adapt to emergency situations and rapid changes in the environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities including problem solving and decision-making that incorporates the principles of TQI.
Must possess JCAHO/AGOG/and other regulatory agency knowledge
Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to evaluate staff performance and implement plans for staff development.
Ability to evaluate program development.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform all essential job functions.
