Payroll Manager

 

CAPREIT, a dynamic, national real estate investment and management company, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with strong organizational skills.  Individual must be a proven achiever of company goals in a demanding and fast paced environment.  Bi-weekly responsibilities include the accurate and timely payroll processing for 500 employees in a multi-company; multi-state environment; including garnishments and other payroll deductions.  Daily responsibilities include; ensuring that controls and company policies are being followed relating to the payroll; establishing daily routines and work flow for processing new hires, changes, and terminations; and making sure there is an open door communication with properties, property managers and accounting staff.  Reporting responsibilities include; maintaining and monitoring quarterly and year-end reports; ensuring the accurate reporting of Multi-state payroll tax withholdings and unemployment; and compliance with federal and state laws.  In addition, the position requires oversight of the General Ledger interface of payroll data to accounting. 

 

Minimum of 5 years experience required.  Understanding of integrated HR/Payroll system, spreadsheets, and word processing a must. Ideal candidate would have a background in property management payroll.  Familiarity with PayAmerica a plus.
