KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to work at our corporate office in Alpharetta, GA. The Payroll Manager will perform and supervise all duties associated with the preparation, generation, and distribution of the weekly and biweekly payroll; and delegates appropriate duties to subordinate employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Supervise three/four Payroll Administrators and two supervisor level employees in the corporate Payroll Department Oversee the weekly and bi-weekly payroll process for multi jurisdictions and reporting for 3,000+ employees Ensure accurate preparation and balancing of payroll before transmission to payroll processing vendor. Assumes responsibility for all non-routine payroll functions, including posting of manual checks, stop payments to bank, system security set-up, etc. Provides information from payroll processing vendor required for the tax department to file payroll taxes for Federal, State, and unemployment taxes; the preparation and filing of 941 and 940 tax returns; and balances the payroll quarterly and at year-end before processing W-2's.  Responds to employees regarding payroll questions and court-ordered child support, tax levy, or garnishments; processes payments to courts through the payroll processing vendor. Acts as a liaison with payroll vendor for problem resolution and error correction.  Responsible for balancing and transmission of 401(k) contributions to 401(k) vendor. Responsible for annual Pension Census report. Responsible for completion of Verification of Employment forms, court documents requesting employee earnings, unemployment audits, and workers' comp forms.  Recommends and implements system and procedural changes for the Payroll Department.Reconciles the vacation and sick balancesCalculates and posts employee adjustments including, but not limited to, overtime, prevailing wage, severance pay, vacation pay-out, and shortages. Responsible for generating required reports and analysis using ReportSmith, Crystal (ADP) and ExcelResponsible for processing all required and voluntary pay deductions to the employee payroll records. Assists in development and documentation of department procedures

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:      

Ø       Bachelors degree in accounting/finance and/or solid, long term payroll experience

Ø       5+ years of supervisory payroll experience with proven track record

Ø       Strong overall Payroll Processing and Reporting experience using ADP PCPW and ReportSmith and/or ADP PayForce and ADP Crystal software. 

Ø       Must be a hands-on manager with full understanding of how the various fields in ADP affect what prints on employee payroll checks.

Ø       Extremely strong Excel knowledge, including the use of pivot tables, Vlookups, merging, etc.

Ø       Good verbal and written communication skills and strong team player

Ø       Strong understanding of the entire accounting cycle & strong reconciliation skills

Ø       Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.

Ø       Drug screen and background check required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Ø       Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification
