Responsible for planning, marketing, and managing parts throughout their product life cycle. Duties include gathering and prioritizing product line and customer requirements, defining the products and services vision, and working with engineering, manufacturing, and sales/marketing groups to deliver a winning Parts and Services function. Defines the Parts and Services product line short and long term strategies. Assesses, evaluates, and identifies new parts and services product developments. Directs leadership and management of Parts and Services functional personnel. Liaises with VP of Sales, channel managers, and national account managers on future product development needs and the provision of sales and service tools. Develops/implements parts documentation and go-to-market plans. Monitors competitors to determine opportunities for new features, new products and services, and increased market share. Sets pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals, and delivers a monthly revenue forecast. The challenge is to developing revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals to support the company’s overall strategy.
Background Required:
• Parts and Services Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager (10 years)
• Manufacturing or related industries (7 years)
• Defining and launching a Parts and Service department and product lines using cross-functional teams
• Ability to mentor, motivate, train subordinates
• Parts and Service product line long- and short-term planning (strategic and operational)
• Forecasting, pricing, and budget control
• Go-to-market planning
• Competitor evaluation
• Customer service responsibility in a parts environment
• Ability to travel 50%
• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Location: North Indiana (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
• Technical background with experience in LEAN and Six Sigma manufacturing
• Formal training in supervisor and management skills
• Proficient in engineering drawings
• Warranty, and technical support policies
• Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Education: MBA and/or engineering degree

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Proficient at using Microsoft Office programs and interfacing with ERP systems
• Problem solving - deep analytical and data management skills
