About Us

Duties and responsibilities: The TimesDaily, a 30,000-circulation daily New York Times Company newspaper in Florence, Ala., is seeking a page designer/copy editor to work on a media desk that produces the newspaper and electronic edition online. The desk handles Page 1A, wire pages and the Region section as well as some Web responsibilities. Excellent copyediting and creative page design skills needed. Florence is a progressive community on the Tennessee River in northwest Alabama with excellent housing, good public schools, a variety of cultural activities and a rapidly growing state university.
Experience required: You need a college degree, a passion for journalism and a reputation for quality and integrity. InDesign pagination and/or Web experience helpful.
